NOTES
This international classic was created at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore in 1915, by bartender Ngiam Tong Boon. The immense popularity of this famous drink inspired a multitude of variations throughout the Pacific, making it difficult to actually pin down the original recipe, but the one that seems to prevail is made with gin, cherry brandy, lime juice, and Bénédictine. Other variations include a splash of soda or for the cherry brandy to be floated on top. This recipe encompasses all the best aspects of a great Singapore Sling.
