Screwdriver
INGREDIENTS
- 2 ounces vodka
- 4 to 6 ounces fresh orange juice
- Garnish: Orange slice
INSTRUCTIONS
Pour the vodka and orange juice into an ice-filled highball glass, and stir. Garnish with the orange slice.
VARIATIONS: For a Slow Comfortable Screw, add 1/2 ounce sloe gin and 1/2 ounce Southern Comfort.

NOTES
As legend tells it, back in the 1950s, American oilmen working on an oil rig in Iran used screwdrivers to stir their vodka and orange juice. The drink and the name caught on to become the classic highball served as a Sunday brunch libation. This is best enjoyed when made with fresh orange juice.
