INGREDIENTS
  • 12 fresh oysters (Kumamoto or Kusshi), shucked (reserve the liquor)
  • 36 oz chilled beer (lager or light ale works best)
  • ¾ cup tomato juice
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp horseradish (optional, for extra kick)
  • ½ tsp celery salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Roman rim mix:  equal part lemon zest, black pepper, celery salt

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Mix tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire, hot sauce, horseradish, celery salt, and black pepper in a pitcher.
  2. Stir in the reserved oyster liquor and chilled beer. Mix gently to keep it fizzy.
  3. Rim your glasses with the Roman mix (run a lemon wedge around the rim first).
  4. Pour the Bloody Roman into each glass.
  5. Drop a fresh oyster into each glass before serving. Garnish with a lemon wedge or celery stalk
