Bacardi Cocktail Recipe | Building A Drink

Serving Up Recipe's All Day Ever Day

Bacardi Cocktail
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 oz Bacardi light or gold rum
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice 
  • ½ oz grenadine 
  • Garnish: Maraschino cherry 

INSTRUCTIONS
Shake the liquid ingredients vigorously with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with the cherry.

NOTES
A classic, this is the only cocktail protected by a court ruling. In 1936, a New York court ruled that this cocktail must be made with Bacardi rum. It is basically a Daiquiri made with grenadine in place of simple syrup.
